Day 1: Arrive At Rhino Post Safari Lodge
This morning fly from Johannesburg to Nelspruit, gateway to the world-famous Kruger National Park. On arrival and drive to Rhino Post Safari Lodge, a luxury wilderness lodge situated within the park in a private concession.
Settle in and unwind in the afternoon before heading out for your early evening game drive.

Day 2: Explore The Kruger National Park
The next day is spent both game viewing and relaxing at camp. Your morning starts off early with a game drive in South Africa’s premier national park. Be on the lookout for the Big 5 – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo – as well as other classic African animals including giraffe, zebra and hippo. Enjoy a leisurely lunch out on the viewing deck and an afternoon spent next to the pool before setting out again for a game drive in the early afternoon. Return just after sunset for a delicious meal around the fire.

Days 3-4: Exciting Kruger Walking Safaris
Transfer after breakfast to Plains Camp and the start of your Rhino Walking Safari. As one of the only operators allowed to offer walking safaris in the Kruger Park, you will enjoy a unique opportunity to get up close to Africa’s wildlife. Explore the park on foot over the next two days accompanied by expert guides and armed rangers. They will offer all the safety and protection you need and will introduce you to the finer details of Kruger’s amazing ecosystem – spoor, trees, birds, insects – all part of making your safari experience richer.

Day 5: Drive To Coco De Mer In Ballito
This morning return to Rhino Post Safari Lodge to pick up your vehicle and then drive back to Nelspruit for your flight to Durban where you will pick up another vehicle. Drive yourself to Coco de Mer Boutique Hotel in Ballito for an overnight stay.

Days 6-9: Experience The Magical KwaZulu Natal Coast
This morning drive north along the rugged northern KwaZulu Natal coast to Thonga Beach Lodge in the Greater St Lucia Wetland – a world heritage site. As one of the most diverse and enchanting countries in the world, South Africa competes with the best of them when it comes to Mother Nature’s beauty pageant. She scores top marks for her diverse offering of beautiful beaches, dramatic mountains and cliff-faces, famed Table Mountain with its cloudy tablecloth, the luscious Garden Route stretching from the Eastern to Western Cape, lush forest belts, intriguing semi-desertscapes, and unforgettable sunsets over the African veld. The country is rich in natural beauty and wildlife, with unspoiled beaches, dramatic mountains, protected wilderness areas, national parks and game reserves. Exotic combinations of landscapes, people, history and culture offers travelers a unique and inspiring experience.

Besides the common Big 5 in most African safari, South Africa has Big 7: add the Great White Shark and Southern Right Whale to the list of the Big 5. And don’t forget all the other South African favourites – cheetah, giraffe, zebra, hippo, hyena, warthog and the famed dung beetle may not be the bigger 7, but they certainly like to claim their moment in the spotlight. South Africa boasts no less than 20 national parks, with literally hundreds of other private parks and game lodges to ensure you get a generous slice of the ‘African experience.’

Accommodations vary from deluxe safari camps and hotels to self-service bungalows. On Safari, you may view game by closed vehicle in national parks and by open vehicle and walking tours in private game reserves and wilderness areas to view the Big 5. Touring around the Cape and on the Garden Route is very popular.

South Africa is located on the southern tip of the African continent, bordered by northern neighbours Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. It encompasses the independent mountain kingdoms of Lesotho and Swaziland and is flanked by the Atlantic Ocean on the west and the warm Indian Ocean on the east – giving the country its spectacular range of biodiversity.
