Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Kampala where you will meet by our company representative to be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe overnight.Meals and overnight at Kampala Serena Hotel or Boma Guest House Entebbe booked on Bed and Breakfast.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park & evening walk – Bigodi swamp
After breakfast drive to Kibale. lunch en route. Arrival will be in the afternoon. Go for a late evening walk along Bigodi swamp. You will then return for dinner and overnight stay.Meals and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge or Kibale Tented Camp or similar lodge booked on Full Board.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Breakfast then leave for nature walk. Lunch will be at the lodge and then drive off to Queen Elizabeth National Park to pass through the crater lakes region with over 30 crater lakes to be explored. Queen Elizabeth National Park has 95 mammal species (among them elephants, lions, leopards, kobs, buffaloes, jackals, spotted hyenas) and 10 primate species, like chimpanzees, velvet monkeys, blue monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus, olive baboons. The listing of birds is of 606 species entered.

Day 4: Game Drive, Launch trip – Kazinga channel
Go for a game drive early in the morning after breakfast to search for animals like Hyenas, Elephants, Hyenas, Hippos, Buffaloes, the Lion and many more. Return from the drive to have late breakfast and lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge. In the afternoon go on the Kazinga Channel in Lake Edward to see animals like buffaloes, elephants, hippos and plenty of birds.

Day 5: Maramagambo Forest, Kambura gorge & transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Park
After breakfast proceed to Maramagambo forest for a walk to see a number of bats, the rock Pythons and the forest Cobras. Lunch picnic in the forest. Proceed to the Kyambura gorge. Take a walk in the gorge and along Kyambura River where the game reserve derives its name. This walk rewards you with a view of a great number of primates such as chimpanzees, antelopes, Black and white Colobus monkeys and water birds like the flamingos. You can then drive to Bwindi Forest National park where you will reach in the evening.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi
In the morning, you will be briefed by the guide at the headquarters about the Gorilla Trekking. Gorilla Trekking is unpredictable, and therefore difficult to determine the time it takes. Bwindi is home to 360 Gorilla gorilla beringei*, a half of the total remaining world population. There are about 346 species of birds registered (Bwindi contains 90% of all Albertine Rift endemics) and 200 of butterflies.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Drive off to Lake Bunyonyi early in the morning to arrive in the afternoon. After lunch, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. Bunyonyi is known to be a place for small birds although large ones are also available. After the boat ride have lunch and embark on any activity of your choice. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & evening game drive
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park to reach in the evening and go for an evening game drive in search for; Buffaloes, Water buck Topes, and not forgetting the Eland, (the largest of the Antelopes found in Uganda).

Day 9: Game drive, boat ride & transfer back to Kampala for your flight to Tanzania
Early morning cup of tea/coffee and go for an early morning game drive to search for hyenas, side stripped jackal, white tailed mongoose, vervet monkeys and olive baboons etc. Return to the lodge for breakfast and a boat ride on the Lake. Drive to Kampala in the late afternoon and transfer to the airport for your flight to Tanzania via Nairobi. Arrive at JRO. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Arusha. Overnight on Bed & Breakfast at the Hotel.Meals and overnight at Mt Village Lodge or The Arusha Hotel or similar lodge booked on Bed and Breakfast.

Day 10: Arusha-Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon of game viewing. The park offers a wide variety of wildlife. When the Maasai Steppes around the park dry up with the end of the long rains in June, migratory animals return to the Tarangire River, making it second only to Ngorongoro in the concentration of wildlife. The most common animals in the park include zebras, wildebeest, lions, leopards, waterbucks, giraffe, elephants, gazelles, impala, gerenuk, lesser kudu and the beautiful Fringe- eared Oryx. Over 550 bird species have been recorded.

Day 11: Tarangire National Park-Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area covering an area of 8292sq km consisting of the Ngorongoro Crater itself, Empakai Crater, Oldupai Gorge, and Ndutu. Lunch at the lodge. This afternoon, you will descend 2000 feet to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.

Day 12: Ngorongoro Conservation Area -Serengeti National Park
Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.

Day 13 and 14: Two Full Days Serengeti National Park
Two full days of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park; a World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve. The Park is one of the best known wildlife sanctuaries in the world, famed for its annual wildebeest migration. Aptly referred to as “endless plains” by the Maasai, Serengeti provides sanctuary to the highest concentration of plains animals in the world. The park hosts to elephants, buffaloes, topi, wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, lions, leopards, cheetahs and over 400 species of birds living in total wilderness freedom.

Day 15: Serengeti National Park-Ngorongoro Highlands/Lake Manyara
Enjoy an early morning game drive, before breakfast. Return to the lodge for late breakfast then depart to Ngorongoro Highlands. Lunch at Gibbs Farm or similar. Afternoon visit to the waterfalls. Lake Manyara National Park is home to a myriad of bird life and the famous tree-climbing lions. The park offers an impressive diversity of habitats for animals and birds that include baboons, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, elephant, hippos, with over 400 species of birds including water birds and the colourful migratory flamingoes.

Meals and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge or Kirurumu Tented Lodge booked on Full Board Basis

Day 16: Lake Manyara National Park-Arusha-Departure
After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. Lunch at your Lodge. After lunch, drive back to Arusha and proceed to JRO for departure flight in the evening.

1) Gorilla permit prices are subject to change without warning.
2) Prices for gorilla safaris are based on clients staying together.
3) Gorilla viewing is subject to availability of permits, which are limited.
4) Separate quotes are available, on request, for clients wishing to stay at other properties.
5) All gorilla permits need to be purchased at the time of booking or a deposit equivalent to 50% of the cost of the safari paid, whichever is higher.
6) We may customize any of our itineraries to suit you. You are at liberty to reduce or add a number of nights, change a hotel (upgrade/downgrade), change a given routing etc.
