Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kampala

Upon arrival in Uganda, you will be met by our tour guide and after safari briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kampala or at the Lodge- Lweza for your dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Bwindi National Park

After an early morning breakfast, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest, lunch shall be eaten en route in Mbarara and arrive in Bwindi in the early evening.

Dine and have your overnight at Bwindi camp or Gorilla resort camp.

Day 3: The Uganda Gorilla Tracking Safari in Bwindi National Park

Early in the morning after breakfast, transfer to Buhoma park headquarters for a briefing before undertaking the gorilla tracking activity at 8.30 am. This activity can take between 3 hours to a full day depending on the movements of these beautiful Apes in the jungle. After the trek return to the lodge for your lunch as you prepare for an evening community walk that will give you chance to interact with the few remaining Pygmy (Batwa) community-the group that is believed to have evolved from the Stone Age people. This group will entertain you with their traditional dance and will be able to make fire by rubbing two sticks together in a similar way like the Stone Age period people did.

You will dine and have the overnight at the Gorilla Forest resort or Bwindi camp (FB).

Day 4: Wildlife Tour – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning after breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector, in anticipation of spotting the tree-climbing lions. Proceed to Mweya peninsula en route enjoying a game drive that is enriched with herds of Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelope species, Hippos, Warthogs, Waterbucks, and many bird species both migrant and non-migrant. You will arrive at Mweya Safari Lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a game drive in the park following the Kasenyi Track one of the best game-viewing areas in QENP. This area also has much to offer to birders since the grassy plains support large flocks of raptors such as Brown Snake eagle, Martial Eagle, Bateleur, African Harrier-Hawk, Grey-Kestrel, Saddle-billed Stork, White and Abdims Stork, Ruppells griffon and the immense Lappet-faced, just to mention but a few.

Your dinner and overnight shall be at Mweya Safari Lodge (FB)

Day 5: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your early morning breakfast, you will take the Munyanyange Lake north of Katwe for more wildlife. This place accommodates a high concentration of mammals as well as a variety of birds and for birders this place has a spectacular concentration of waterbirds including Greater and Lesser Flamingoes, Little Stint, Curlew Sandpiper, Greenshank, Terek Sandpiper, Red-necked Phalarope, Gull-billed Terns, Wintering Red-throated pipits and Northern Wheatears. After lunch at the Lodge go for a boat-cruise at Kazinga Channel that stretches between Lakes Edward and George. The wild mammals and the aquatic birds in this place can be compared tono other place in this park.

Retire to the lodge and enjoy swimming in Mweyas magnificent swimming pool. Your dinner and overnight shall be at Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury)/ Mweya Institute of Ecology (Budget) Full Board.

Day 6 – Uganda National Park Game Drive

You shall have an early morning game drive anticipating to see the early risers and predators like leopards jackals and foxes, spotted-hyena, aardwolf, African wild cat, bushbabies, Uganda kobs, giant forest hog, sdsssbohor reedbuck, defassa waterbuck, warthog, elephants, hippos, etc. After lunch drive to Kyambura Gorge for chimp tracking, an exciting experience you shouldn’t miss. If you still have enough time you can proceed to the bat cave deep in the rain forest or just visit the Katwe Salt mining site.

Return to Mweya Safari Lodge to relax, dine and have your overnight (Full Board)

Day 7- Transfer to Kibale National Park

Early in the morning after breakfast, transfer to Kibale national park via the crater lakes area, Kasanga forest. You will have lunch at primate lodge/ Nyinabulitwa Resort and in the afternoon make a community visit and interact with the Batooro people. If you wish, you can as well visit tea plantation and tea factory.

Your dinner and overnight shall be at Primate Lodge/ Nyinabulitwa.

Day 8-Chimpanzee Tracking IN Kibale National Park

After your early morning breakfast, Go to Kanyanchu headquarters for a briefing and start chimpanzee tracking at 8:00 am. Expect to see a lot of primates such as chimps, red-tailed monkey, grey-cheeked mangabeys, Lhoest monkeys, the white and black colobus monkey, butterflies, different insects and forest birds. Return to the lodge for your lunch and proceed to Bigodi Swamp for birding. This Wetland Sanctuary lies on the main Fort Portal to Kamwenge road, 5km south-east of the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre. This community-based project offers access to Magombe Swamp, a very interesting area of papyrus and swamp forest. Some of the special birds endemic to this habitat include the white-winged Warbler, papyrus Gonolek, papyrus canary, Blue-breasted Kingfisher, White-spotted Flufftail, Blue-headed Coucal, the spectacular Yellow-billed Barbet, Black-faced Rufous warbler and Grey-capped Warbler, Scaly-throated honeyguide, Blue-shouldered and Snowy-headed Robin-Chats. You will have an overnight at Ndali Safari Lodge (Full Board).

Day 9: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After your early morning breakfast transfer to Murchison Falls National Park- a long day drive going through the homesteads. You can make a stop-over at Albertine escarpments, to observe the separation point of the rift valley fronted with the blue mountains of Congo. The view of Lake Albert at the floor of the rift valley is fascinating. Board the Ferry crossing the River Nile to the northern bank.

You will have dinner and an overnight at Paraa safari lodge (FB).

Day 10: Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park

After your breakfast undertake a morning game drive to the northern sector of the park expecting to see lions, elephants, leopard, hyena, Jacksons heartbeast , Uganda kob, patas and savannah monkeys found only in Murchison falls. In the afternoon, move to the bottom of the falls, anticipation of seeing the very enormous Nile crocodiles, hippos, rare shoebill, Bee eaters and other bird species. Have dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari lodge (FB).

Day 11- Depart For Kampala

After your early breakfast transfer to Kampala but making a stop-over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a view of rhinos. Arrive in Kampala in the evening.

Have a dinner and an overnight at Serena Hotel/ Golf Course Hotel / The Lodge (FB).

Day 12- Kampala city tour

Early in the morning after breakfast embark on the Kampala city tour, and after transfer to the airport depending on your flight details.
