7Days Chimpanzee and Gorillas Trekking Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Arrive at Kigali International Airport. You will be met by our Airport Representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at Kinigi Guest House (FB) as you prepare for the morning tour.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in the Rwanda Virungas
After your breakfast transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi for briefing after which you start trekking gorillas in the Rwanda Volcano national park at 8.30 am. It will take you 2 to 6 hours to encounter the mountain gorillas and once found you will be allowed to view, interact and photograph the gorillas for only 1 hour.

Have your dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guest House (FB)

Day 3: Rwanda – Uganda Tour
After your early morning breakfast transfer to Uganda by road through the Kigezi Highlands commonly referred to the Switzerland of Africa to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After resting and having lunch, take a community walk to the animist native marginalized Pygmies (the Batwa) people whose cultural performances will freshen and usher you in a great deal of excitement even before you see gorillas. You will have your dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort Camp (High-end), Lake Kitandara Camp (Mid range) or Basic Buhoma community bandas- the choice is yours

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Uganda-Bwindi
After an early morning breakfast go for a briefing at the park headquarters at Buhoma before tracking the gorillas at 8.30 am. You will take between an hour to a full day to encounter the gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest jungle ranges depending on their movement . Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is the highlight of a Uganda safari. This Uganda wildlife tour experience is incomparable to none. You will dine and have your second night at Gorilla Resort Camp (High-end), Lake Kitandara Camp (Mid range) or Basic Buhoma community bandas.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After your early morning breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo national park with lunch en route in Mbarara town. When you reach start with an afternoon game drive along the lakeshore track, given its own system of game trails and cleared walkways, the “Kigambara Loop” offers exciting guided lakeside walks. On this walk you shall see Cape buffalo, herds of zebra, and eland, topi plus oribis. If you are a bird watchers you may have more than 250 bird species to enjoy including the Carruther’s Cisticolas, Papyrus Gonoleks, the extraordinary White-winged Warbler, Bare-Faced Go-away bird and brown-faced Lapwings. You shall dine and have the night at Mantana Tented Camp / Mihingo Lodge or Rwonyo Rest Camp

Day 6: Game Drive in Lake Mburo National Park
In the morning after breakfast follow the eastern hinterland of Lake Mburo with its network of game tracks along with a variety of savanna animals and birds. Connect to the Ruroko Track that passes rock kopjes that are home to the elusive klipspringer. Continue to Lyantonde for your onward transfer to Kampala,you will make a stop-over at the Equator for handicrafts and photography and Arrive in Kampala and stay at your designated hotel.

Day 7: Kampala City Tour
To finalise your Rwanda Uganda safari you will have a Kampala city tour and reach out to her famous place such as the Kasubi tombs, Buganda Kabaka`s(king`s) Palace, Kabaka’s lake, Iteso cultural dance near Kasubi, Namugongo matyres shrine, Uganda Museum, Makerere University, the famous Bahai temple, Namirembe and Rubaga gothic cathedral, Gadafi & Kibuli mosques, craft shops such as Buganda road & National theatre. This tour will give you a true insight of kampala and Uganda at large given the great history attached to the places you will visit.
